The Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim National Hospital Center Receives the Prestigious AP-HP Silver Label

The Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim National Hospital Center has just been awarded the Silver Label by the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), a global leader in hospital quality.

This exceptional distinction was achieved less than a year after the hospital opened, under the leadership of Dr. Moustapha Sourang.

The hospital thus becomes the first facility in Senegal to be awarded the AP-HP Silver Label under the Quality and Safety of Care program, with special recognition for its proactive internal approach.
This recognition acknowledges the collective effort, rigor, and exemplary commitment of all the teams.

A rigorous evaluation conducted by eight AP-HP experts

For eight days, a team of eight AP-HP experts stayed in Touba to conduct an in-depth evaluation of the hospital's operations. Their audit focused on:

the quality and safety of care,

the overall organization of services,

risk management,

hospital procedures,

staff training,

the compliance of patient care pathways.

The experts visited all departments, closely observing practices, performance, and the internal dynamics of the hospital.

Training, support, and continuous improvement

In addition to the audit, the AP-HP team provided intensive training to the medical, paramedical, and administrative staff.

According to the Director General, Dr. Moustapha Sourang, this collaboration aims to align the hospital with international standards, particularly in the areas of:

patient safety,

emergency department organization,

risk management,

medical traceability,

smoothness and quality of the patient journey.
