The Cardiology Department at the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim National Hospital Center (CHNCAK) specializes in managing cardiovascular diseases in both adults and children. Led by Dr. Moustapha FALL, the department is distinguished by its expertise in interventional cardiology, rhythmology, and cardiac pacing. With a highly qualified medical team and state-of-the-art equipment, the department effectively treats conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, and congenital heart defects. The department also features a Coronary Angiography Suite and a state-of-the-art imaging unit, providing comprehensive and advanced care to all patients.

Interventional Cardiology Room: Housed in a multifunctional unit, it is equipped with a General Electric® Optima machine, a fluoroscopy unit, an electrophysiology bay, and a Medrad contrast injector. This room facilitates complex procedures such as coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, and cardiac pacing.

Non-Invasive Functional Exploration Room: Equipped with a 12-lead electrocardiograph, an ACUSON NX3 echocardiography machine, and an ergometric bicycle coupled with a treadmill for stress tests, this room ensures precise diagnostics and continuous patient monitoring.

Advanced Imaging Room: Featuring a General Electric 64-slice CT scanner, this room meets the highest standards of radioprotection and is essential for planning cardiology interventions.

Hospitalization Unit: Comprising seven beds distributed among three high-standard private rooms and two double rooms, this unit ensures optimal comfort for patients while providing specialized and personalized care.

The team behind the service
The Cardiology Service is led by Dr. Moustapha FALL, specializing in interventional cardiology, rhythmology, and cardiac pacing. The medical team also includes Dr. Cheikh GAYE, Dr. Cheikh A.B. SAMB, and Dr. Fatima D. DANKOCO. They are supported by five experienced state-registered nurses, particularly skilled in managing patients in the cardiology intensive care unit, as well as a medical secretary responsible for administrative tasks and organizing patient appointments.
Dr. Moustapha FALL
Service chief
Dr. Moustapha FALL is a cardiologist at the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim National Hospital Center in Touba. He earned his doctorate in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine and Odonto-Stomatology at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. He then specialized in cardiology, continuing his training between Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and Aix-Marseille University in France. He also holds a diploma in rhythmology and cardiac pacing from Aix-Marseille University. With this rigorous international training, Dr. FALL leads the cardiology department with recognized expertise in interventional cardiology, providing high-quality care to patients in the region.
