Presentation of the service
The IT department at Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim Hospital plays an essential role in the critical management of the IT infrastructure on which the operation of the hospital is based. This service implements advanced solutions to ensure the availability, security and efficiency of systems essential to medical administration and care.
Missions of the service
1. IT infrastructure management
• Ensure the availability, performance and security of computer networks.
• Administer servers, network equipment, storage systems and virtualization solutions.
• Monitor connectivity and link states.
2. Support and maintenance
• Provide technical assistance to users (level 1, 2 and 3 support).
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of IT equipment.
• Guarantee the proper functioning of business software, in particular the Hospital Information System (HIS).
3. System and data security
• Set up and monitor cybersecurity devices (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems).
• Ensure compliance with data protection standards and regulations.
• Ensure the regular backup of critical data and the implementation of business recovery plans (PRA).
4. Digitalization of processes
• Design and deploy digital tools to improve the administrative and medical management of the hospital.
• Optimize workflows using appropriate IT solutions.
• Participate in the integration and evolution of information systems to meet the growing needs of the hospital.
. Telecommunications management
• Administer IP telephony systems (such as 3CX) to ensure unified and efficient communications.
• Manage Wi-Fi networks and access levels.
• Supervise the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.
6. Strategic projects
• Support the hospital in its modernization projects, such as the opening of new divisions or the implementation of innovative technologies.
• Carry out regular audits to assess IT needs and propose suitable solutions.
• Collaborate with national and international partners to integrate best practices and technologies.
7. Training and awareness
• Train hospital staff in the use of IT tools.
• Raise awareness of good practices in IT security.
• Promote the culture of digitalization among teams.
8. Relationship with external partners
• Manage relationships with service providers, such as Sonatel, for Internet access and associated services.
• Supervise maintenance contracts and ensure their compliance.
