Presentation of the service
The Social Service of the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim National Hospital Center (CHNCAK) plays an essential role in supporting patients and their families in vulnerable situations. It aims to guarantee equitable access to care by providing social, psychological and financial support to people in difficulty.
Missions of the service
With assigned objectives which are essentially oriented towards social aspects, the social service contributes to guaranteeing equal access for all to a quality social service. It is accessible to patients and accompanying persons, with strict respect for professional secrecy and patient autonomy.
In addition to the fight against social exclusion and marginalization in all its forms, the social service also deals with the social concerns of staff and their families, in conjunction with the human resources department.
With the evolution of the strong demand for quality care among populations and faced with the scarcity of resources, the social service is investing in the search for third-party payers through external technical and financial partners, charitable organizations and the private sector within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
As part of the care of users, social workers deployed at the level of medical services, particularly in expensive care (medical project function). These social workers will be under the hierarchical responsibility of the head of the central social service who coordinates all activities.
